Our curriculum includes a range of specially designed components, from Bright Beginnings, to Growing Enhancements and our Ready for School programme to ensure each child is inspired and supported to bring out the very best in each of them.

1. Giving every child a Bright Beginning

We believe that every child deserves the best start in life. Bright Beginnings is a holistic curriculum, designed to acknowledge the individual voice and needs of every child promoting confidence, wellbeing and a genuine love for learning. It helps set the foundations for emotional resilience to prepare children for the next stage in their learning journey.

Building on the foundations of the government’s ECD curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential.

3. Growing Enhancement and Ready for School Programme

Our unique Growing Enhancement activities and Ready for School Programme focus on the core areas of Growing Readers, Growing Writers and Growing Mathematicians and are aligned to national curriculums.

Each activity has been designed to help provide your little one with fun, meaningful and purposeful activities alongside life experiences, preparing them mentally and practically for school and beyond.

Learning Through Play

Children learn best through their play, which is why we’ll ensure your child always has activities available to engage and excite them – whatever their age and stage.

Your child’s natural interest and curiosity is used by our staff as a springboard to skillfully make learning fun and guide their activities. We use actions, experiences and open-ended questions to stretch and challenge them in areas such as problem solving, memory and information processing.

Rhymes and Music

Your child will get an exciting opportunity to learn through music, song and rhymes.

Using deliberate patterning, rhythms and sounds, these sessions, are engaging and educational and can have enormous benefits on early years learning.

Rhythm, sounds, movement and more help improve literacy and mathematical abilities, as well as motor skills and cognitive function. Entertaining, catchy songs make learning thoroughly enjoyable and the sessions can be adapted for any age.

Kids increase their awareness of sounds from listening and singing along, which forms the basis of language and teaches them new words.

Creative Art and Craft

The children supporting recycling activities often make instruments and props. An empty formula tin makes the perfect drum, while a drinking bottle filled with lentils becomes a shaker. Children are encouraged to make and decorate their own instruments, instilling pride in their musical journey.

Ready for School Programme

As they grow older, we introduce your child to age-appropriate maths, reading, writing and art.

Our staff recognize each child’s emerging needs and interests and also focus on growing the life skills, knowledge and confidence they’ll need to be prepared for school and beyond.

Observation of Learning

We assess how children are learning and developing by observing them and internal assessment frequently. We use information gained from observations, as well as from focused activities and profiles. We believe that parents know their children best and we ask them to contribute by sharing information about what their children like to do at home and how they as parents are supporting development. Each child’s level of development is assessed against the learning goals.

Beginners:        The child needs constant guidance of the teacher.

Progressive:     The child can learn with minimum assistance.

Achieved:         The child can perform all activities independently.
